Configure the sending of e-mails
Delegating the sending of e-mail to the Server
has several advantages:

- only one setting to be done at the Server
level;
- no e-mail lost in case of failure (if the SMTP server is down, e-mails are kept at the Server level and resent later);
- no more waiting during sending (the user can continue working or leave HYPERPLANNING immediately after sending);
- students can retrieve their forgotten password by e-mail.
- Go to E-mail dispatching parameters:
- or from the application Administration of the Servers
, on the pane corresponding to the schedule, in the panel E-mail dispatching parameters,
- or from the Client
, menu Server > E-mail dispatching parameters.
- or from the application Administration of the Servers
- Tick Delegate the sending of e-mail to the Server HYPERPLANNING.
- Enter a sender name and address: these elements can be seen by the recipients in case the sender has an address outside the allowed domains.
- Eventually enter the authorized domains: if the user has entered an address that is not one of them, the name of the sender and the address specified (see above) will be used to facilitate the proper reception of the e-mail (not considered as spam, etc.).
- Click on the button Tester Test the sending of e-mail to verify the settings.
Even if the messaging service is configured to be sent from the Server
, each user may prefer to configure his/her Client
to sent from their workstation.
