How can I influence the automatic placement?

During the placement, EDT aims to leave "large slots" free (days or half-days) and to avoid gaps between courses. The configuration ensures that none of these criteria takes precedence, which suits the majority of the institutions.

If you feel that one criterion is much more important than the others, you can change the configuration for the criteria taken into account during placement from the menu Calculation > Launch an automatic placement, tab Information, button Customize calculation criteria and then take the time to run simulations.

Don't change too many criteria at the same time; you'll lose track of which one has influenced the results.
