Using the constraint analyzer
The constraint analyzer allows you to verify the feasibility of your timetable. It is imperative that you use it to resolve any problematic situations before proceeding with automatic placement.
- Go to the menu Calculation > Launch the constraint analyzer.
- In the pop-up window, click on the button Launch the verification.
- When a problem is detected, EDT suggests one or more ways of resolving it: implement one of the suggested solutions, then relaunch the verification to see if your modifications are sufficient.
- Correct any entry errors or inconsistencies revealed by the analyzer. When no more inconsistencies are detected, you can begin the placement process.
