  • Create the class parts (manually)

When the students in a class don't all work together, they are divided into "class parts". The teacher may be faced with one class part, or several class parts from different classes. Each division of the class into parts is called a "partition". For example, the partition "FL2", the partition "Splitting", the partition "Phys Ed", etc. When you specify a complex course, EDT automatically creates partitions and class parts: don't manually create class parts if you intend to align them in the same complex course. You manually create partitions and class parts only when only one part of the class is occupied, out of alignment.
  1. Go to the display Timetable > Classes > Class parts.
  2. Select the class from the list on the left.
  3. In the list Partitions on the right of your screen, click on New, enter the partition name and confirm with the key Enter.
  4. Select the created partition: the list Parts is displayed on the right.

  5. In this list, click on New, enter the name of the part and validate with the key Enter; add as many parts as necessary.

When you select a part, a third list Students appears on the right-hand side of your screen. Students can be added to this list after the timetable has been created.
