How do I set up a second base with EDT Network?
Adding a second server allows you to manage another database completely independently (for example, to prepare next year's database while letting users work on the current one). Parameters and users are not common to both servers.
- In application Server, go to the menu File > Add a server.
- Confirm the addition of a second server: EDT adds a panel, allowing you to manage this server independently of the other.
- Go to Publication parameters: since both servers being installed on the same machine; they have the same IP address. The TCP port must be different - change it manually if necessary.
- In the Client, click on Add the address of a new server then enter the IP address and TCP port, and add a new designation.
