  • Generate the specialization programs

Each student in 11th and 12th grade follows his/her own program: it is the combination of the specializations he/she has chosen. Specialization subjects must be entered in the same way as all other subjects in the display Timetable > Subjects > List. Specialization programs are then generated in the display Timetable > Specializations > List of the proposed offers. If you're also using PRONOTE, you can generate specialization programs by importing the orientation wishes entered by students.

Step 1: Enter the institution's offer

  1. Go to the display Timetable > Subjects > List and verify that all specialization subjects are included; complete the list if necessary.

  2. Go to the display Timetable > Specializations > List of the proposed offers.
  3. In the panel Specialization offers, click on Create an offer for the concerned ETM; enter the designation for the offer (for example, "11th grade specializations"), then validate with the key Enter from your keyboard: a window List of ETM is displayed.
  4. Tick the ETM attached to this offer, then click on Validate.

If you wish to treat certain ETM classes differently, you can remove them from the offer and possibly make another offer with these classes.

  5. In the panel Proposed specialization studies, click on Define the specialization studies: a window Selection of the subjects appears.
  6. Tick the subjects proposed by the institution, then click on Validate.

To find subjects more quickly in the list, check the box Only the specialization studies: the subjects that appear are those for which the column Specialization has been ticked in the display Timetable > Subjects > List.

Step 2: Generate the programs based on the wishes entered in PRONOTE

If you don't have the students' wishes in PRONOTE, you can import them from a spreadsheet.
  1. Make a copy of the PRONOTE database in which the students' wishes have been entered: to do this, log in from a Client PRONOTE, launch the command File > Create a copy of the base, then save the copy on your workstation.
  2. In EDT, use the command Imports/Exports > PRONOTE > Recover the data related to the orientations in PRONOTE: a confirmation window appears.
  3. Tick the boxes ETM (training program) for the current year and/or options for the current year according to the data you wish to recover and specify the step you wish to take, then click on Yes.

  4. Select the copy of the PRONOTE database (file, *.not) created in the first step, then click on Open.

  5. In the display Timetable > Students > List, verify for each student that:
    • the ETM has been correctly imported into the column ETM,
    • the expected number of specialization options is shown in the columns Option 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 (...).

If the column ETM or the columns Option 1/2/3/4... do not appear in the list, add them from the window Customization of the list accessible via the button . The columns Option 1 and Option 2 columns are often filled with the options FL1 and FL2: for a 10th grade student with three specialization options, you'll need to display at least five columns Option.
  6. Return to the display Timetable > Specializations > List of the proposed offers.
  7. In the panel Proposed program, click on Create a program and select the option Generate the programs according to the students' choices: a confirmation window appears, click on Yes.
