  • Protect your account

With EDT Network, users having the role of administrator, especially the SPR, must be particularly careful when choosing their password. To comply with CNIL recommendations, your password should be at least 10 characters long, combining upper and lower case letters, numeric and special characters. You can also reinforce the security of your account with a PIN code and/or notifications when logging in on a non-registered device.

It is recommended that SPR impose double authentication on all users. If this is not the case, it is recommended to activate this security by defining a PIN code and/or activating notifications when connecting to an unregistered device.
  1. Go to the menu My preferences > Security > Protecting my account.
  2. You registered a password when you logged on for the first time. To modify it, click on the button Modify my password: the composition rules applied are defined by your institution's Privacy Policy.

  3. You can also enhance your account security by adding a PIN code: click on the option Set a PIN code, then enter it in the pop-up window. You'll be asked for it every time you connect from an unregistered device.
  4. If you haven't already done so, you can strengthen the security of your account by selecting one of the 2 possible options:
    • Set a PIN code, you'll be asked for it every time you connect from an unregistered device. This is the best security option.
    • Notification only, you will only be notified when connecting to an unregistered device. This option guarantees minimal security and is not recommended.

You can also limit the security enhancement to a notification when connecting to an unregistered device, or add no additional security at all. Neither of these options is recommended for optimal account security.
