Can users be forced to disconnect?
Yes, if you are logged in from an account of type Administration (ADMIN), you can disconnect a type of user (option 1) or a specific user (option 2).
Option 1: configure automatic disconnection
Disconnecting staff
- Go to the menu Parameters > Options > Security.
- Select a user type Administration/Senior Management.
- In the frame "Manage the automatic disconnection", click on the arrow.
- In the pop-up window, click on the display
User groups.
- On the left, select a user group (Administration, Modification, Consultation, etc.).
- In the frame Automatic disconnection in the bottom left-hand corner of the window, tick. Disconnect the users of this group in case of inactivity superior to %d min., then enter the wanted value.
Caution, be sure to select a user group (preceded by the button), and not a user. Otherwise, the tick box is inaccessible.
Disconnecting teachers
- Go to the menu Parameters > Options > Security.
- Select the user type Teachers.
- In the frame "Manage the automatic disconnection", click on the arrow.
- In the pop-up window, select a profile.
- In the frame Automatic disconnection in the bottom left-hand corner of the window, tick. Disconnect the users of this group in case of inactivity superior to %d min., then enter the wanted value.
Option 2: configure manual disconnection of a user
- Go to the menu Server > Display the list of connected users.
- Select the user you wish to disconnect, right-click and choose Disconnect the user [user's name].
- In the confirmation window, click on Yes.
