Initiating a SPC (PPMS) alert
You can send or receive SPC-Safety Plan and Coordination (PPMS) alerts. All administrative users, as well as all staff in Student Administration Mode and authorized teachers, can trigger an alert. All staff and teachers logged into PRONOTE or using the PRONOTE mobile app will receive a notification.
Step No. 1: Define authorizations
Authorize Administrative users
- Go to the menu File > User administration.
- In the pop-up window, click on the display
User groups. - In the list on the left, select the concerned user group, then select the category PRONOTE > Communication.
- Tick Initiate the alerts.
Authorize teachers and staff in Student Administration mode
- Go to the display Resources > Teachers/Staff >
Authorization profiles. - In the list on the left, select the concerned profile.
- In the category Communication, tick Initiate the alerts.
Step No. 2: Initiate an alerts
- Click on the button
in the tool bar. - From the drop-down menu, select the alert template.
- Customize the text if necessary.
- By default, all teachers and staff are recipients, but you can modify the list by clicking on the button
.
- Click on Send.
- In the following window, you can:
- either conclude the alert;
- or send a second message to the recipients.
- The SPC (PPMS) alert message is displayed as a notification on the recipients' screens.
Step No. 3: End the alert
Only the person who created the alert can close it.
Until you close the alert, the button 
remains available in the menu bar. Click the button, and then, in the pop-up window, click the button End the alert.
Step No. 4: Consult the list of alerts launched during the year.
All SPC (PPMS) alerts sent or received are visible in the display Communication > Discussions > 
Discussions. In the menu on the left, click on Alert.
