  • How do you turn a service into a sub-service?

The transformation of a service into a sub-service is not the same for a full-class service as for a group service. To transform group services into sub-services, attach them to a previously created main service. To transform full-class services into sub-services, you merge them into a co-teaching course (if necessary, you can remove the co-teaching status later).

Transform the group services to sub-services

  1. Go to the display Resources > Classes >  Services per class.
  2. Select the class from the list on the left: the list of associated services appears on the right.
  3. Verify that there is a full-class service in the list of services, with a generically named subject (for example, Modern Languages, Vocational Training, Personalized Accompaniment, etc.).

  4. Select the service to be transformed, right-click and then click on the command Affiliate the group service: a window appears.

  5. In the window, double-click in the column Affiliate service, then indicate the generic subject service and validate.

  6. Close the window: the sub-service appears in the list.
  7. Repeat the operation with the other services to be transformed.

After this operation, PRONOTE also generates a full-class sub-service, named after the generic subject. You can't delete it, but you can hide it in report cards if no full-class grades have been entered, by choosing not to display sub-services without grades.

Transform full-class services into sub-services

  1. Go to the display Resources > Classes >  Services per class.
  2. Select the class from the list on the left: the list of associated services appears on the right.
  3. Select the two services to be transformed, then right-click and select the command Merge into a co-teaching service.

The subjects of the services to be merged must be identical: if they are different, double-click in the column Subject/Sub-subject to modify them for the duration of the manipulation (you can correctly rename them later).

Services can only be merged in pairs: if you need to transform more than two services, merge them several times, repeating the operation.
  4. In the confirmation window that is displayed, designate the teacher responsible for the service, then click on Yes.

  5. If necessary, change the name of the service and its sub-services by double-clicking in the column Subject/Sub-subject.

  6. If necessary, remove the co-teaching status. Select the service, right-click, then select the command Modify the selected services > Delete the co-teaching: the icon  disappears.
