What does this error message mean? (connection to the Client)
to resolve it, always try to find out the error message displayed when the user tries to connect. This list, which is not exhaustive, will give you the information you need to solve problems connecting to the Client PRONOTE - if your connection problem concerns the Internet Webspaces, click here.
"Connection prohibited"
The Teacher and/or Student Administration modes are not activated; the designated connection mode has not been assigned to the user.
To activate:- the Student Administration mode, go to the display Resources > Staff >
Authorization profiles;
- the Teacher mode, go to the display Resources > Teachers >
Authorization profiles.
If this message appears for a Teaching assistant, this is not an error: users identified as Teaching assistants in the PRONOTE database do not have access to the Client. They connect exclusively to the Teaching Assistants Webspace from a web browser.
"Access to the base impossible"
The problem may have several origins:
- human error: erroneous username or password, wrong connection mode selected (a user in Administrative mode who has selected Teacher mode, for example)
-
configuration error: the designated connection mode has not been allocated to the user.
"Connection impossible"
Your license provides for a limited number of simultaneous connections in Administrative mode (by default, 4 connections); there are several solutions to get around this problem.
"Connection impossible - Error n° 10053 / 10060 / 10061"
The error 10053 indicates a loss of connection between the Clients and the Server (a bit like unplugging the cable between them). The problem is probably linked to the performance of your network.
The errors 10060 and 10061 may indicate several anomalies:
- the TCP port 49300 is closed on the machine or blocked by the firewall,
- the connection parameters are incorrect (URL + port),
- the server PRONOTE is not activated,
- the network, or the connection to the network, is unavailable.
