Create SMS templates
To be able to use SMS, your institution must have subscribed to this service, and you must have the corresponding authorization in your profile. SMS templates are provided by default; you can modify them or create new ones.
- Go to the display Communication > SMS >
Templates. - Click on the creation line, enter a designation and validate with the key Enter on your keyboard.
- In the window Categories that is displayed, choose the potential recipient and the sending context (the variables available depend on the category chosen), then click on Validate.
The teachers can only send SMS messages to guardians. The category Guardian > Miscellaneous allows you to send SMS messages to guardians concerning their children; SMS templates in this category can be sent from the list of students, classes and groups. The category Guardian > Only guardians allows you to send SMS messages to guardians from the list of guardians only. - Enter the message on the right and use the button Insert to insert variables which will be replaced by the appropriate text when sent.
