  • How do I send an SMS reminder before an event?

You can schedule a text message to be sent to event guardians as soon as the event is published and/or a few days before it begins. To do this, your institution must have subscribed to the SMS dispatching service, and your profile must include the corresponding authorization.

SMS reminders are programmed in the event creation/modification window:
  1. In the rubric Reminder by SMS, tick:
    • Send an SMS reminder for the event > Immediately;
    • and/or (x) day(s) before, indicating the number of days before D-day.

  2. Tick the category Guardians.

    The number in column No. rcpt. corresponds to the number of guardians selected above. Depending on the configuration made by your administrator, guardians receive either one SMS each, or a single SMS per household. If no cellphone number has been entered in the database, the concerned guardian is not counted.
  3. Click on Preview to view the list of SMS messages sent, and verify that only one SMS message is sent per recipient (if your SMS message exceeds 160 characters, two or more SMS messages will be billed to your institution).
