  • What's the difference between evaluation and positioning?

The evaluation, shown on a blue background, is the value given to the proficiency in an item or competence over a given period and by an evaluator.

Positioning is the synthesis of evaluations from several evaluators for an item or competence. Positioning takes the same values as the evaluation but is the result of a synthesis of evaluations.

In HYPERPLANNING, an evaluation is necessarily the result of a human decision, whereas positioning can be the result of an automatic calculation by the software. The only exception to this rule is when a competence comprises several items; in this case, its value can be determined manually by the evaluator or automatically by HYPERPLANNING based on the evaluations of the items.
