  • Take the roll call

The call mode is defined in advance by the administrator or secretariat. In addition to roll calls made by the teacher, QR Code roll calls (set or rotating) can be considered. The QR Code is a tool for recording absences. Its aim is to enable students to declare their attendance at a class meeting by scanning a QR Code. Students who fail to scan will have their absences automatically counted.

If authorization has been granted by the administrator, the roll call sheet entry can be extended to a maximum of 7 previous days.

  1. Go to the tab Assiduity > Roll call sheet.
  2. Select the course in the timetable.

Method No. 1: The teacher takes the roll call

    1. Go to the tab Assiduity > Roll call sheet.
    2. Select the course in the timetable. The mode Roll call by teacher is specified.

    3. On the lines of the concerned students, click on Absence or Tardiness.
    4. In the pop-up window, enter the motive for absence or tardiness (by default: Motive not yet known). In the case of a tardiness, also specify the duration of the tardiness (the default value for the duration of tardiness is configured by the administrator).
    5. Tick Roll call completed at the bottom of the roll call sheet, so that staff know that the roll call has been completed.

Method No. 2: The roll call is taken by a set QR Code

    1. Go to the tab Assiduity > Roll call sheet.
    2. Select the course in the timetable.
    3. The type Roll call by QR code is specified. Click on the button Start the roll call by QR code.

Students can only scan when the session is open, that is, after clicking on the button Start the roll call by QR code. This button is then named Display the QR code.
    4. The QR Code appears in the window that appears.

    5. Leave the window open. Students will scan the QR Code as they arrive. The scan is open for the duration of the course + 15 minutes after it ends.

You can declare a student present or absent if they were not able to scan the QR Code. For this, go to Roll call sheet > Validation of presence > Deploy the actions.

    Print the generated QR Code

Even if the QR codes are printed in advance, students cannot scan until the session is open. Only a click on the button Start the roll call by QR code opens the session.
    1. As soon as you have clicked on the button Start the roll call by QR code, you can print the QR Code.
    2. Click on the button in the top right-hand corner.
    3. In the pop-up window, select QR Code, set the document orientation, then click on Validate.

    4. The PDF appears in a new browser tab. Then print the PDF.

You can also save the document on your computer.

Method No.3: The roll call is taken by a rotating QR Code

    1. Go to the tab Assiduity > Roll call sheet.
    2. Select the course in the timetable.
    3. The mode Roll call by Rotating QR Code is specified. Click on the button Start the roll call by QR code.

    4. In the pop-up window, the rotating QR Code appears. Display it on a screen shared with the students so they confirm their attendance by scanning it live.

The QR Code is rotating: it automatically changes every 10 seconds. This rotation, combined with a short validation duration, ensures enhanced security, it is less easily duplicable. For example, being more difficult to capture, it will be less easy to take a photo of it to pass on to a student not physically present.
    5. Leave the window open. Students will scan the rolling QR Code as they arrive. The scan is open for the duration of the course + 15 minutes after the ends.

You can declare a student present or absent if they were not able to scan the QR Code. For this, go to Roll call sheet > Validation of presence > Deploy the actions.
