  • Manage absence justifications

 Request a justification

A template Request a justification for an absence exists by default. You can modify it from the tab Communication > Mail and documents > Templates.
  1. Go to the tab Assiduity > Summary > List of events.
  2. Select the absences, for example all those with Motive not yet known: if several absences concern the same student, only one letter is edited.

  3. Right-click and choose Sending mail or document.

  4. In the pop-up window, choose the Type of output (Printer, PDF, E-mail, Maileva).
  5. Either the templates to be sent are already filled in, or you double-click on To choose to designate them. The template Request a justification for a absence can be sent to students and/or parents if they agreed to be recipients of academic mail.


  1. Click on Print/E-mail.
  2. In the pop-up window, enter and format the e-mail (topic, body of the message and signature). You can also add other recipients by ticking Other.
  3. Click on Send the e-mail. If the recipients do not have an e-mail address in HYPERPLANNING, you can first tick Print a copy, then select Only to those who do not receive e-mail.

Saving the justifications

Uploading justifications can be carried out directly by the students if they are authorized to do so. Otherwise, you can upload them manually
  1. Go to the tab Assiduity > Summary > List of events.
  2. Double-click in the column Attachments.
  3. Add the justification to the base by clicking on New or .

The size of the attachment must not exceed the limit defined in the menu Parameters > General parameters > Security.
