  Can I authorize teachers to enter the motive for a student's absence or tardiness?

Yes, it's possible.
Go to the display Schedules  > Teachers > Authorization profiles. In the list on the left, select the authorization profile, then, in the category Assiduity, tick the authorizations Enter the absence motives and/or Enter the tardiness motives.
