  • Organize data by family

The families allow you to create fields that have not been foreseen in HYPERPLANNING. For a family, either you define the possible values (predefined fields), or you leave the possibility of entering a value (free fields).

First step: create a family and its rubrics

  1. Go to the menu Parameters > Other data > Families.
  2. Click on New family, enter a designation and validate with the key Enter.

  1. In the pop-up window, select:
    • the mode Predefined rubrics to set the possible values,
    • the mode Free rubrics to leave the possibility to enter a value.

  1. Double-click in the column Used for and in the pop-up window tick the data that can be affected by this new field.

  1. If you have chosen the mode Predefined rubric, select the created family and click on New rubric to enter the possible values, that is all the fields that can be allocated to the concerned data.

Second step: attach data to fields

  1. Go to a relevant data list (list of teachers, rooms, etc.)
  2. Start by displaying the columns corresponding to the families in the list. To do this, click on the button at the top right of the list and then in the customization window, select the columns corresponding to families (they are displayed with the mention (Family) in parenthesis) and move them to the right among the displayed columns.

  1. In the list, select the data to be associated with the same rubric.
  2. Right-click and choose Modify > Families > All families with predefined rubrics.

  1. In the pop-up window, tick the rubric and validate.

The same data can be associated with several rubrics. A click on the field folds/unfolds the panel. In multi-selection, a grey tick indicates that some of the data is allocated to this rubric.

Third Step: Using Families

To sort a list: either by clicking on the column corresponding to the family, or by activating the dedicated display via the button at the top right of the list and by selecting the family to be taken into account in the drop-down menu at the top of the list.

To filter resources in a selection window: by ticking the rubrics to which the data must be associated. HYPERPLANNING automatically updates the list on the right.

To specify information in the documents related to the grading: by displaying the rubrics of the families related to the students on the headers of grade books, report cards, ECTS summaries (option to be ticked on the mock-up in question).
