  • How to manage homonyms?

For example, you import the e-mail addresses of the teachers: in your Excel sheet, you have a column that contains the names of the teachers (including DUPONT), another that contains the e-mail address (dupont@univ.fr).

Case n°1: in the database, there is already a resource DUPONT Olivier
Si vous importez des données relatives à DUPONT, HYPERPLANNING affecte ces données à DUPONT Olivier.

Case n°2: in the database, there are already two resources DUPONT Olivier and DUPONT Joseph
If you import data relating to DUPONT, HYPERPLANNING will create a third resource DUPONT (without first name) and will assign the e-mail address to it.

HYPERPLANNING uses a combination of fields to differentiate resources of the same type:
  • For the teachers, it is the fields Code, Surname and First name. Two teachers cannot have the same code, the same surname and the same first name.
  • For the students, it is the fields Name, First name, Date of birth and Student number. Two students cannot have the same last surname, first name, date of birth and student number.
  • For the classes and the rooms, it is the fields Code and Name. Two classes/rooms cannot have the same code and the same name.
