Communicate with the Web Service
Recover the URL address of the Web Service
The publishing parameters define the port and address on which the Web Service will communicate. You'll need to provide this information to users wishing to communicate with the Web Service.
From the application Web Service , go to the pane Schedule, then the panel Publication parameters.
The URL of the Web Service corresponds to the IP address of the workstation on which it is installed and to the listening port number, which you can modify.
Access the WDSL document and write the scripts
The Web Service is described in a WDSL document and communicates with applications using the SOAP protocol over an HTTP connection. All recent programming languages include the necessary tools for querying a Server of this type without any prior knowledge of WSDL, SOAP or HTTP, and there are extensions to do the same for almost all older programming languages.
- Launch your Internet browser.
- Enter the URL address of the Web Service (available in Publication parameters).
- To write your scripts, you can use the list of web service calls offered by HYPERPLANNING, available in several forms:
- simplified form,
- WSDL document format: native format, WSDL Rpc/Encoded (older platforms), WSDL without simple type.
