Upgrade from version 2023 to version 2024. (non-hosted mode)
Step 1: recover the file containing the users and their authorizations
This step is only necessary if you plan to install the 2024 Controller on a different workstation than the one where the 2023 Controller is installed.
From the 2023 Client HYPERPLANNING, launch the command Imports/Exports > USERS > Export the users and their authorizations (*.profils) and save the file.
Step 2: make a final archive of the databases in 2023 format
From the 2023 Client HYPERPLANNING, launch the command File > Produce an encrypted or compressed archive and save the file.
Step 3: stop Windows services on 2023 servers
This step is only necessary if you plan to install the 2024 servers on the same workstations where the 2023 servers are installed.
- From the 2023 Controller or the Server HYPERPLANNING, launch the command Configuration > Administration of Windows parameters.
- Select the concerned services (Controller, .data, Server, .net, Web Service), right-click and choose Shut down the services.
Step 4: install the 2024 HYPERPLANNING applications
Each application must be downloaded from the page Download > Download HYPERPLANNING. If you want to continue working in the same way, install each 2024 application on the workstation on which the 2023 application was installed.
Step 5: import the users and their authorizations
- the SPR's password,
- all the schedules that may have been created,
- all users that may have been created.
- From the 2024 Controller HYPERPLANNING, go to the panel Network users, and click on the tab List of users.
- Click on the button
on the bottom of the screen.
- Double-click on the file *.profils generated in the step 1.
- In the confirmation window, leave the option Replace the existing data selected and validate.
Step 6: publish the current database from the 2024 Server HYPERPLANNING
- Create a schedule or select a recovered schedule.
- Select the schedule, right-click and launch Install as a Windows service.
- Select the schedule in the left pane, then launch the command File > Open a base.
- In the explorer window that appears, select your database and validate: it is automatically put into service.
