  • Upgrade from version 2023 to version 2024. (non-hosted mode)

Step 1: recover the file containing the users and their authorizations

This step is only necessary if you plan to install the 2024 Controller on a different workstation than the one where the 2023 Controller is installed.
From the 2023 Client HYPERPLANNING, launch the command Imports/Exports > USERS > Export the users and their authorizations (*.profils) and save the file.

Step 2: make a final archive of the databases in 2023 format

From the 2023 Client HYPERPLANNING, launch the command File > Produce an encrypted or compressed archive and save the file.

Step 3: stop Windows services on 2023 servers

This step is only necessary if you plan to install the 2024 servers on the same workstations where the 2023 servers are installed.

  1. From the 2023 Controller or the Server HYPERPLANNING, launch the command Configuration > Administration of Windows parameters.
  2. Select the concerned services (Controller, .data, Server, .net, Web Service), right-click and choose Shut down the services.

Step 4: install the 2024 HYPERPLANNING applications

Each application must be downloaded from the page Download  > Download HYPERPLANNING. If you want to continue working in the same way, install each 2024 application on the workstation on which the 2023 application was installed.

Step 5: import the users and their authorizations

Warning, this operation overwrites:
  • the SPR's password,
  • all the schedules that may have been created,
  • all users that may have been created.
It must therefore be done before creating schedules and users.
  1. From the 2024 Controller HYPERPLANNING, go to the panel Network users, and click on the tab List of users.
  2. Click on the button on the bottom of the screen.
  3. Double-click on the file *.profils generated in the step 1.

  4. In the confirmation window, leave the option Replace the existing data selected and validate.

Step 6: publish the current database from the 2024 Server HYPERPLANNING

  1. Create a schedule or select a recovered schedule.
  2. Select the schedule, right-click and launch Install as a Windows service.
  3. Select the schedule in the left pane, then launch the command File > Open a base.
  4. In the explorer window that appears, select your database and validate: it is automatically put into service.
